Being an entrepreneur is about taking a chance, believing in yourself and creating something that adds to the community. Three Trees Cafe in North Gosford is a great example of what can be achieved when these three things are the foundation.
Three Trees Cafe is tucked away in Laycock Street, North Gosford. Created in a warehouse style space with soaring ceilings, Three Trees Cafe is eclectically decorated in an industrial style.
Tucked away on Laycock Street opposite the Laycock Street Theatre. Originally opened as a pop up café a year ago, Three Trees Cafe is now an outstanding success.
Coffee and Food
The coffee can only be described as divine. One cup isn’t enough, you’ll find yourself going back for seconds. Three Trees specialises in Pablo & Rusty’s unique blends for filter espresso and cold drip processes. Our next visit will be to try the cold drop coffee!
Partnering the coffee, there is a tasty array of sweets to choose from. The carrot cake was oh so yummy.
The lunch menu is focused on wholesome good food including frittata, zucchini slice, toasties and a chicken caesar roll as well as revolving specials. All ingredients on the menu are organic.
The menu is affordable, with the lunch menu ranging between $8 and $10.
Three Trees has a foyer room with kids toys and comfy lounges to accommodate families with young children. The space allows kids to roam a little without the worry of disturbing other people, and provides enough distraction for them so you can enjoy your coffee (right to the bottom!).
There is plenty of space for prams in and around the tables in the main section of the café, or you can also enjoy the sunshine outside.
Food for Kids
Central Coast Weekender has visited Three Trees with a six year old in tow. The kitchen was happy to be flexible with the menu and adjusted it to suit kids sized portions. You won’t be served a 1 litre kids milkshake here!
The friendliness of the staff towards kids is a breath of fresh air and makes the environment welcoming for people with kids.
Now open Thursday, Friday and Saturday night until 14 November, Three Trees is offering the Central Coast’s first dessert bar. The dessert bar offers cheese platters and gourmet deserts along with wine, beer, coffee, teas, juices and shakes.
The dessert bar is open from 5pm to 9:30pm. Get down there this weekend and show Three Trees why they should keep the dessert bar going!
Three Trees Cafe also sells funky handmade homewares, jewellery, scarves and bags. They were so incredibly difficult to resist, we’ll be giving in next time. The hand painted fabric pots were gorgeous.
