Whether you are tea connoisseur or you are more accustomed to having your tea from a tea bag (like us), you will thoroughly enjoy a visit to Rosa Tea House and with it the opportunity to meet Phan.
Having travelled to Taiwan to learn more about the world of tea, Phan went on to open Rosa Tea House in World Square, Sydney and then for the past five years operated out of Deepwater Plaza, Woy Woy.
Phan is now selling exclusively online or by appointment from her Point Clare shop.
Rosa Tea House provides customers with the chance to taste different tea varieties before purchasing, a great way to find your favourite blend.
We visited on a hot summer day and enjoyed tasting a glorious fruit tea, aptly named Granny’s Garden. Served cold, with a little honey and chopped apple, it was delightfully refreshing.
Phan then took the time to show the making and serving of oolong tea and with such tradition attached to the serving of this type of tea, we were in awe at the wonder of it all.
Phan then led us to her collection of teas, neatly stored in rows, we looked over the 70 different varieties of tea trying to select a brew to take home.
With the amazing knowledge and experience of a tea master like Phan we each choose four different teas to enjoy at home.
Overall the opportunity to experience the wonderous smell of the different tea varieties before purchasing them left us with the feeling that we would never look at a teabag the same way again!
On returning home we opened a pack of English Blue Flower tea and for the first time truly enjoyed a pot of tea. It felt like a true indulgence, a pause from the busyness of life, an opportunity to stop and enjoy.
Don’t be put off by needing to make an appointment to visit Rosa Tea House. Your senses will come alive and your knowledge of tea will be hugely expanded!
