Toowoon Bay Holiday Park

Toowoon Bay Holiday Park

Summer holidays are over and the routine of school and work is setting in. We snuck in a weekend at Toowoon Bay Holiday Park to seek out an endless summer. Toowoon Bay Holiday Park is a beautiful destination for all kinds of visitors so why not enjoy it as a Coastie!

One night away with young kids is an effort, so we decided to look closer to home.  No need to travel to a coastal destination when there is one on our doorstep. It took an enormous journey of 20 minutes to get there!

For visitors travelling from Sydney, Toowoon Bay is about 1.5 hours drive from the Sydney CBD.

Despite living on the Central Coast for 12 years, we have never been to Toowoon Bay!!

Toowoon Bay Holiday Park

Toowoon Bay Holiday Park offers a pool, jumping pillow and playground. The park is next to the beach. You can choose from either Toowoon Bay or Shelly Beach. There is a short walk to either beach, however the flags on Shelly Beach are some distance away.

Toowoon Bay beach offers some of the best snorkeling on the Central Coast. With normally calm surf conditions, this beach is ideal for young families.

The beautiful in ground pool with whirlpool, sprinkler and toddler wading area provided many hours of entertainment.

The pool area has a large grassy area with plenty of relaxation space for families.

Accommodation

Toowoon Bay Caravan Park offers a variety of accommodation including:

  • Onsite Cabins ranging from basic cabins for up to six to large cabins with ocean views;
  • ensuite powered sites; and
  • powered sites.

Depending on the season and cabin type, rates for cabin hire range from $110/night to $463/night for four people.  Powered sites range from $38/night to $91/night for two people. There are extra costs for more than 2 people.  More information on rates and booking is available on the Toowoon Bay Holiday Park website.

We spent the night on a powered caravan site in the southern end of the park with our caravan. It was a walk from the pool, but it was whisper quiet at night.  The site was well maintained.  The park showers and toilets were also kept clean and tidy by the holiday park staff.
